Thrills, Spills & Power Pop from arguably one of London's top live bands They're old enough to know better. But they're also smart enough to know that knowing better isn't always much fun. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you The Jetsonics. Formed in 2009 The Jetsonics are Sam Day (vocals/guitar), Adam Donovan (bass), Dave Lombardi (drums) and Roger Millington (keyboards). The Jetsonics offer a speedy and punchy mix of infectious tunes and raw beats. It's a fine accompaniment to Sam's gritty vocals. Their influences include old-style R&B, glam rock, first generation punk and a bit of powerpop - and the result is a decidedly British sound. All with a 21st Century tweak. There's some groovy stuff in there too - Adam lists Motown bass legend James Jamerson among his heroes - and they're not averse to a sprinkling of ska and dollop of dub along the way. That's what happens when you've got a drummer who started out in a reggae band. They're bringing their honest, uncomplicated and does-what-it-says-on-the-tin brand of rock music to a stage near you soon. Look out for interesting facial hair, natty hats, brothel creepers and a guitar held so high you'll think you're watching a flamenco band.
