The boys from POGO may hail from an extensive list of local acts - including Spiraled, Thrive, The Zoids, Paradox, Kaotic Lounge, Backbeat and Nimrod's Cat - but from that eclectic background comes the band's own melodic mix of rock, psyche-pop and punk.
POGO’s mp3 releases have barely scratched the surface of a melting pot of over 600 songs penned by this trio, which formed in 2000.
Influenced by the likes of The Damned, Ride, Sex Pistols, My Bloody Valentine and The Pixies, POGO’s tunes are colourful and dynamic, a grungy blancmange of searing guitar, throbbing bass and machinegun-fire drums.
Set with a new single 'Real', recent releases Territory, Mulcher, Afterlife and Scone and strong support on mp3.com.au, the band plans to continue playing locally and produce a continuous flow of mp3s for fans. In fact, there is an abundance of mp3 tracks available to listen to and download on their website.
