What does
Number One Music offer me or my band?

Number One Music offers 2
different accounts (trial and full membership)
which gives you your own website and web
address, for example www.numberonemusic.com/yourbandname.
This will provide you with the platform to
promote your band and to get noticed within our
community and the music industry. It will
include your bands’ profile, history, a 'music'
page where you can upload up to 30 songs, and a
'shows' page to announce dates and venues you
will be performing. We also offer a 'photo'
page, where you can display up to 30 photos, and
a contact page and message board for fans,
promoters or record companies to get in touch
with you from. Unlike some other music portals
dedicated to the promotion, we provide you with
a unique targeted e-newsletter service which
helps you to fuel your constant exposure by
using our database. Upon registering, you'll
receive a username and password, enabling you to
login to your website and edit it as often as
you like.

How do I join?
A.
Click here to go to our new member sign-up
page. You will be guided through the process and
you'll be up and running within minutes. Once
you have submitted your details you will be
instantly sent a unique password which will
enable you to access your admin page to your
bands’ website where you can begin adding
information about your band. You can visit your
admin area whenever you like, keeping your site
up-to-date with songs, photos, forthcoming
shows, etc.

How do I
upload my songs?
A.
When you have chosen the tracks that will be
featured on your site, you will need to convert
the tracks to MP3 format. By clicking on the 'Artist/Band'
icon on the top left of the site you'll be brought to a control
panel which allows you to login with your username and password.
(ex. if your profile link is www.numberonemusic.com/yourband your
username is: yourband.) or click here

Within your control panel area there will be a 'music list' button
to upload your songs. Please enter your album name before uploading any mp3s.
If you don't have an album name, call it Various songs.
You can upload songs in the standard mp3 format only.
Each song must be less than 8 mb in size.We recommend that all songs uploaded
have a bitrate of 128 kbps and a frequency of 44100 kHz Stereo.
You will be able to upload up to 30 songs with a full
membership account.

How can I
change the details on my band pages?
A.
By clicking on the 'Artist/Band' icon on the top
left of the site you'll be brought to a control
panel which allows you to login with your
username and password. (ex. if your profile link
is
www.numberonemusic.com/yourband your
username is: yourband.)

What are the differences between a trial
membership and a full membership?
A.

What if I want to upgrade
my account?
A.
When you join Number One Music with a trial
membership you are allowed to upgrade your
account within the month. Within your control
panel area there will be an 'account info &
upgrade' button to modify your account.

it appears that
once i submit the material to the site it then belongs to you?
A.
• you keep all the rights to your music
• you just lend us the right to be your online promoter
(non exclusive)

How does the
Number One Music Charts work?
A.
When users visit your bands’ mini-site or
download a song, they are monitored and recorded
in our database. The more hits or song plays
you get on your site the higher up the chart you
go. So it would be useful to advertise your site
to get fans and friends to visit and get you up
that top 10 listing.

Are there
memberships for record labels?
A.
Yes. All inquiries regarding label packages
