She debuted with the album In Hindsight (Bonnier Music) in late 2009. Now she’s back with the EP Commonplace Heroes, and Nejra feels more certain about her musical expression than ever before. The first single from the EP, the catchy Stay For A While, caught the attention of radio producers and has since its release in August 2011 gotten a great reception by radio stations all over Sweden. Nejra wanted to catch the spirit of the late 80’s and the early 90’s in the production, and refers to the single as the first happy love song I’ve ever written. The newly released EP includes the same vibe, but also incorporates some darker themes about living in the world today. It’s a sincere portrayal of everyday life through a pop lens.
