Because although the U.S. state of Mississippi should remain restricted to North Tennessee, Alabama and east, now south makes the neighborhood of San Pablo in Seville Spain Fortunately for us, a relentless sense of rhythm, a very black musical spirit and a great desire to make quality music, have resulted in the creation of La Mula.
Since 2007, LA MULA JAM BAND has captivated audiences with their live performances, transporting us to those places where funk was born. It was 2010, when La Mula burst onto the international scene, with its opening and sold-out show at the 13th edition of the International Music Festival, Territorios, (Seville) when they shared the stage with Eli “Paperboy” Reed and the True Lovers. They were also present at the closing of Monkey Week 2010. In 2011, La Mula have been locked up in the studios putting everything into their first LP “Supersucculent”, while still finding the time for mythical live shows such as those offered at the 13th Jazz Festival las Cabezas, alongside the Swedes Tingval Trio, a hand to hand combat with The NewMasterSounds. This was also on 2011 they took first prize in the contest Imagina Funk and lit up the stage with other legendary acts such as The Apples, Sixtoys, or Ebo Taylo & Afrobeat Academy. | | |
