Hannah Ogden has always had an interest in music from a very young age. She started taking paino lessons at age 8 and continued till age 12. In 8th grade she began guitar lessons with her schools music teacher, Melissa Chesnut Tangerman, an alto vocalist in the A Capella group Counterpoint, directed by Robert DeCormeir. In addition to guitar lessons, Chesnut Tagerman also coched Hannah on her vocal skills. Soon after, Hannah joined her school chorus age 14 and quickly fell in love with singing. She wrote her first song thats summer "Remind Me Why". Since then, Hannah continues to write and play guitar, and as her experiences in life grow, so has her music. Currently, Hannah is unsigned, but has been interested in offers she has received from various record companies. "My main focus right now is to graduate from high school and move on to college, however I know that music and songwriting will always be a part of my life." Says Hannah, age 17. Hannah is currently working on a demo CD to be released this spring to her fans, and send to select independent record labels. "Some of my biggest influences are Natalie Merchant, Alison Krauss and Michelle Branch" says Hannah "But I listen to all kinds of music, anything from jazz, folk, to oldies and rock." Hannah is also studying classical guitar and voice. she often plays at local open mic nights, and is interested in doing more preforming, whether it be in her school's concerts, or in the community. |
