Bio of the Artist
From a musical family, Alan began singing & songwriting in his early teens and initially cut his teeth with several established local bands before forming the duo Equator with fellow Yorkshire musician Darren Fox. Together they signed a US record deal that provided them with useful insight into the music business, if not a hit record. Ultimately however, Equator was consigned to history and Alan stepped out on his own.

By 2001, Alan was developing his own distinctive dance pop sound and voice, writing and performing with powerhouse vocalist Lonnie Gordon on the song “Time Is Tight”. It was the hooky “Here In My Heart” however that would provide the initial flush of success in 2003, registering in many regional dance charts in the UK and US, and receiving a substantial amount of airplay. The following year came “Walking Away”, which received a similar reception, and an album “Another Day”.

In 2005, the single “(Get It) On The Track”/”Push Rewind” received major attention across Europe, making the dance charts in 8 countries, including the UK. Alan was also busy producing for other artists, and worked on projects for both Warner Brothers and Sony BMG.

By early 2007, Alan had joined the D6 Records roster and began writing songs for a new album, released in October, entitled “After Midnight”. The album comprises many styles, from electronica to dance, with a firm pop thread running throughout. A single, the classy pop house “Now The Rain Has Gone”, is available now on download and physical CD single.

Alan's next single is a cover of the Roxy Music classic "Dance Away" and is out in February 2008.

Alan can also be heard on the new single by Natasha England, “Iko Iko” which he also co-produced. "Iko Iko" was released November 19th by Platform Records UK.
